The Campaign Hub (aka Camalion) is a platform by VAR for management and delivery of TV and radio commercials.
Abundant user variety
One of the biggest challenges with the Campaign Hub is that it’s used by a diverse group of people — some are tech-savvy while others are admin-oriented. The interface just has to work for everyone, even when it gets super complicated. A nice juggle between permissions, perspectives and data comprehension.

Let users manage a multitude of media in different formats and languages, provide metadata, stay compliant, and do it all in the right order... all from a single view 🤯
Complicated UX problems made easy
The Campaign Hub has to deal with edge cases and still be easy to use for teams with workflow inheritance. I worked closely with the product and backend teams to turn what could have been a continuous hassle into a user-friendly solution.
Custom components to the rescue
Constructing a clutter-free interface that works for everyone is one thing, but sometimes the usual components just don’t cut it. I came up with custom solutions that were challenging to develop but ultimately made the difference between completing the user story in a single page session versus enduring a tedious, wizard-like flow that I knew everyone would dread.
Dev headaches resolved
Convincing a skilled team of developers to prioritize user experience while they’re focused on functionality, maintainability, and cost-effectiveness is no small feat either, trust me 😅 Together with the dev team, I tackled this with a React component library to help smooth sailing.
