Kristof resides in the city of Mechelen, between Antwerp and Brussels and started as a freelance web designer in 2001 to work on small sites and logo design jobs.

In 2003, Kristof has written 'The process of redesigning a logo', an article for Digital Web Magazine that explains how their new logo has evolved from an early concept to a finished logotype.
Later that year, he joined Nascom, a web agency in Limburg, Belgium, and has been working for them in the roles of Art Director, Information Architect, and more recently as the company's Design Director.
Kristof Saelen has also remixed DeLaVega's hit single 'Little Clouds'. He won the remix contest on Studio Brussel in 2007 and has been active as a music producer since then.
As from 2009 Kristof went by the alias of Kistov and in May of that year he was selected for vi.be On Air, a talent hunt organized by Studio Brussel and Poppunt. Early 2011, Smiths chips launched a campaign featuring Kistov. Listen and find out more on kistov.com.
